Do you offer therapy services in person?

At this time, I only provide services virtually with online therapy.

How do I make an appointment?

You can make an appointment for an initial 15-minute consultation call at this link.

What happens when I miss an appointment?

Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the session starts. Late cancellations or no-show appointments will result in a flat fee of $100.

How do you accept payment for therapy services?

Payment can be via credit/debit card, Venmo, or Zelle.

Do you take medical insurance?

The only medical insurance I am accepting currently is Aetna.

What kind of clients do you see?

I mainly work with clients who struggle with symptoms of anxiety and depression. I also often work with clients going through a difficult life transition, such as starting college, starting a new job, a new relationship, or managing wedding-related stress.

I also work with many BIPOC clients and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, I work with immigrants or first-generation Americans and assist them in navigating cultural expectations between their home culture and American culture.

What is your religion?

I identify as a Muslim-Buddhist. I can speak at length about the spiritual traditions of Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Shintoism, and Jedi beliefs. I am less “religious” but instead apply the wisdom gained from these spiritual traditions. I make spirituality accessible to all clients, regardless of the absence or presence of faith in a higher power.

Can you be my meditation teacher?

I can guide meditation as it relates to your area of concern. Ongoing support with meditation will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Do you provide group counseling?

Yes, I do provide group counseling. Details will be discussed via phone and/or email.

Have you ever lived in a religious commune?

I experienced living with Buddhist monks for three weeks during a summer retreat in Canada.

What is your favorite video game console?

My favorite console is the Nintendo Switch. I enjoy adventure games like Legend of Zelda and playing party games like Mario Party or Super Smash Bros. with friends.

Can you speak fluent Japanese?

Yes, I can! I first learned Japanese in high school and immersed myself in Japan in Fall 2024. Locals (including a resident Buddhist monk) have confirmed my proficiency in communicating psychological and spiritual concepts in Japanese.
