Michael* feels ignored. He’s been performing well in this role for some time, but his co-workers seem to get all of the bosses’ praise and attention. He feels he deserves more and wants to advocate for himself, but isn’t sure how. Workplace stress is rippling out to affect every part of his life, from his health to his relationships. He knows something needs to change, but can’t do it alone.
David* is isolated. He was always a warm, bright, personable child, but since finishing high school, things haven’t been the same. All the motivation and ambition that once drove him to excel have disappeared. He spends most of his time alone in his room, logging countless hours on his computer. His parents are worried about him and want to help, but every attempt to connect seems to push him further away.
Mary* doesn’t fit in. As an adult on the autistic spectrum, she sometimes has trouble picking up on and communicating social cues, which causes conflicts with those around her. She’s constantly afraid that she’s not doing enough, so she overexerts herself at work, taking on more than she can handle in the pursuit of unattainable perfection. Meanwhile, she has no time or energy left for herself or relationships.
Steven* is unsatisfied. As a young professional living in New York City, he has a good job, a nice apartment, and appears to be a success. But, for some reason, he isn’t happy with his quality of life. He’s smoking and drinking too much, isn’t exercising, and has stopped putting any energy into dating. He wants to make a change so badly, but he simply can’t summon the necessary motivation.

Abu Muhammad Nasim
Psychologist, PhD
Hi, I’m Abu.
I’m a licensed psychologist based in New York City. As a native New Yorker, I have worked alongside people with different cultures, faiths, education levels, and perspectives on mental health.
I deeply understand the relationship between culture, childhood upbringing, and attitudes, and I help educate clients in communicating the importance of mental health to their families and communities.
Every person is unique, so I personalize this journey for each client, incorporating their personal faith and beliefs about the world so that they are motivated and progress in line with their core values.
Let’s work together to build on your strengths to create the behavioral changes and growth you’re looking for.

Michael reached out to me for guidance about his work-related stress. Together, we began growing his communication skills. Now, he’s being recognized for his work and feels more appreciated daily.
David came to therapy, and we worked to help him rediscover what brings him joy. Soon, he began to leave his room and spend time with friends, and now his parents have stopped hassling him so much.
Mary was exhausted when she came to see me. In our sessions, she discovered that her team functions better when she does only her required work. Now, she has more time to pursue fulfilling relationships.
Steven knew something needed to change, so together, we helped him change the habits that negatively affected his physical and mental health. Now, he’s in a new relationship and feels better than ever.
